军装女警童珍(全智贤 饰)刁蛮刚烈、嫉恶如仇；中学教师明宇(张赫 饰)温文尔雅，正直善良。某日，明宇见义勇为，协助追捕小偷，却被正值休班的童珍误当贼人；可怜明宇惨被童珍严刑拷问，最后虽被证实无辜，但明宇经已体无完肤。
伤势初愈，明宇即被学校派到红灯区辅导问题学生，怎料警方竟安排童珍保护明宇；仇人见面，份外眼红，明宇本欲拂袖而去，却被童珍以手铐将他与自己锁在一起。
刚巧童珍发现一宗毒品交易案，明宇被逼跟着童珍出生入死。两人手扣手地渡过惊险一夜，两颗心竟不自觉地连在一起，明宇与童珍终于发展成为情侣。明宇不怕童珍野蛮任性，只担心童珍工作时过分拼命，最终伤了自己。于是，明宇总是在童珍执行任务的地方出现，暗中帮助童珍……
《野蛮师姐》以当年风靡全国的韩国大片《我的野蛮女友》原班人马打造而成，在《我的野蛮女友》中以其霸道、娇憨的风格深深打动人心的韩国天然美女全智贤，此番在《野蛮师姐》中再续野蛮神话，饰演一个活泼、开朗、雷厉风行、对爱情专注执著的女警察。
《我的野蛮女友》中另一红人男主角车太贤在本剧中的出镜出人意表，非常具有喜剧色彩。而饰演男主角的张赫是韩国最受欢迎的一线男星之一，此番饰演一个痴情的中学物理教师，将那种缠绵、体贴演绎得十分到位，让人感动不已。而在幕后制造这一野蛮旋风的，仍然是创造了《我的野蛮女友》和《爱有天意》的票房奇迹的导演郭在容。影片与《我的野蛮女友》最不同的在于，本次风格在喜剧中融入了更细腻感人的爱情元素，让观众笑中带泪。记者从发行方紫禁城三联公司获悉，该片已经受邀作为2004年上海国际电影节特别放映的影片。届时，全智贤及其他主创人员将亲赴上海，在狂热的影迷中掀起一股野蛮狂潮。
对于全智贤及张赫这对情侣档来说，拍摄《野蛮师姐》的过程，可算是历尽艰辛。由于拍摄期间正值韩国入冬，但是《野蛮师姐》的故事背景却发生于春夏季，故他们要在零下十多度的气温，穿著单薄的夏装，满受着寒风刺骨的煎熬，跑上山顶或跳进大海游泳，并装作不在乎，骨子里却「冷得腾腾震」。所以每次拍完上山镜头，全智贤及张赫便立即穿上厚厚的衣物御寒，或者拍完下水镜头后，助手便急不及待向演员身上淋上热水以保持体温。可是，全智贤因为连日在寒冷的天气工作，而且衣履单薄，中途也告病倒。
除了饱受寒冷天气的折磨，全智贤及张赫参演《野蛮师姐》时体力消耗至极点。据闻一场讲述休班警察童珍误将见义勇为的明宇当贼，并展开一场追逐战。全智贤为了拍这场戏，要赤脚上阵，以高速进行追捕张赫行动，结果NG了多遍，在街头巷尾来回跑了十多趟，双方也弄得喘不过气来，全智贤的脚板底固然受苦，双脚也伤痕累累。
张赫演出这场戏也不好过，因为戏中的他惨遭全智贤飞扑倒地受制，并用洗发水洗眼泡面、用毛巾箍颈等“严刑”对待，弄得体无完肤。为了拍这场戏，张赫双眼惨被洗发水清洗十多遍，弄得双眼通红，痛楚不已。不过，张赫是一位专业的演员，对拍戏时遇到的苦楚皆毫无怨言。
